Topics: pond construction and maintenance, fish management and vegetation, legal questions for pond owners, and wildlife concerns.
If you have any questions on any of these issues, stop by the store and talk with us.
If you have a pond or are thinking that you would like to have one, we have a full line of supplies that you'll need to keep weeds and algae in check.
We have fish food too.
POND CARE: It's time to start your pond maintenance program. When the water temperature hits 50° or warmer, algae is starting to grow.
We recommend Cutrine Plus (liquid or granular) for algae control.
As we progress through the spring and into the summer with the water temperature warming (60 degrees), you'll need to focus on weed and algae control.
We recommend Aquashade which filters sunlight to control underwater growth while coloring the water to a beautiful, natural aqua/blue). Copper Sulfate for weed control.
As cattails are
actively growing, treat with CatPlex to keep them from
getting out of hand.
BE SURE TO USE SURFACTANT. This product helps all these products to be more effective by promoting better absorption.
