Ohio’s Summary of Changes


White-tailed Deer
White-tailed Deer Hunting Seasons for 2020-2021:

Archery Season: Sept. 26, 2020 – Feb. 7, 2021
Youth Firearm Season: Nov. 21-22, 2020
Firearm Season: Nov. 30 – Dec. 6, 2020
Extended Firearm Season: Dec. 19-20, 2020
Muzzleloader Season: Jan 2-5, 2021

Bag Limits:
Some 2020 – 2021 county bag limits have changed but the statewide deer bag limit remains at six deer. You can’t exceed a county’s bag limit and you are only allowed one antlered deer. Refer to the 2020-2021 Regs Book for county-specific bag limits.


Turkey

The 2021 spring turkey season opens on a Saturday instead of a Monday.
The south zone opens Saturday, April 24th, 2021.
The northeast zone opens Saturday, May 1st, 2021.
The 2021 youth turkey season is the weekend before the regular season on April 17-18, 2021.



Waterfowl


Active duty and military veterans are allowed to hunt waterfowl October 3-4, 2020 during the youth waterfowl season.
Season will open in the north zone on October 24th, 2020. That’s one week later than normal which will allow for more November hunting days.
The scaup bag limit has been lowered to 1 bird for the first 15 days of season and 2 birds for the last 45 days of season.
